Nanaimo Golf Club’s Dress Code is intended to reflect the tradition and culture of golf. We recognize that dress is a personal choice and golfing apparel trends change from time to time. Nanaimo Golf Club requires all Members and Guests to be responsible and use good judgement in their golf attire choices.
Any questions of uncertainty regarding suitable and acceptable apparel can be directed to the Pro Shop Team and/or the General Manager.
Attire not permitted on the Golf Course, Driving Range, Practice Areas, and Clubhouse:

Cargo shorts or pants with expandable pockets.

Gym shorts, short shorts, cut-offs, mini skirts, midriff-baring, swimsuits, or sweatpants.

Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, mesh shirts, sports jerseys.

Frayed or torn material of any kind.

Display of any logo, slogan, illustration, or emblem on any apparel (including without limitation hats, short, shirts, pants, skirts, or jackets) or golf equipment that promotes, supports, comments on, or criticizes any person or any matter or thing currently or formerly associated with, representing, or forming part of any political or religious organization or social cause movement.
Golf hats, ball caps, and visors with brim in forward position may be worn in the Clubhouse, on outside patios, and in the Mount Benson Lounge. Hats must be removed in all dining event areas when formal or non-golf events are held. Exception given to hats and head dress worn for medical and religious reasons. Any themed or special events, requiring the use of hats or head dress, must be approved by the General Manager.
Footwear must always be worn and clean prior to entering any clubhouse area. We respect that we all lead busy lives and need to stay in contact with family, work, and colleagues, we also want to respect our playing & dining surroundings.
We request all cell phones and other devices be placed in silent and/or vibration mode.
